Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday, and regardless if you're planning to celebrate in the Big Easy or at a small party in your hometown - this is an easy makeup look for you!
You will need:
Primer
Your Brushes
Your chosen highlighter
Bright matte yellow eyeshadow
Bright shimmer teal green
Bright shimmer purple
Deep shimmer purple
Gold glitter
Black mascara
The products I used shown here:
Lorac eye primer
Benefit Highbeam
NYC City Duet eyeshadow in Upper Zest Side
Sally Girl baked mineral eyeshadow in Dark Green
Sally Girl baked mineral eyeshadow in Dark Purple
Tarina Tarantino Starchild Odyssey Palette in Meteor Night
NYX glitter powder in Gold
Hourglass Film Noir mascara in Onyx
Mary Kay lip liner in Chocolate
Sephora lipgloss in Rusted Rose
First prime your eyes. I like to let my primer sink in for a few minutes before I begin to apply eye makeup. Highlight your brow bone, cheekbones, under eyes, and your cupid's bow. I started with the yellow first, and sort of worked backwards for this eye makeup look. Apply your yellow from the corner of your eye to about the center of the eyelid. Then I applied the green overlapping the yellow directly to the center of my eyelid. Next I used the bright purple (listed as sally girl DARK purple, don't let this confuse you) and blended it into the crease, and outward. I took a fluffy brush, and blended out all the harsh lines between the colors. This is the most important step in getting a polished look. Add your darker purple shade to the crease, patting it into a "V" shape. Bring the deep purple all the way around the top of the eyelid until it meets the yellow. Using a small brush line your lower lash line with yellow. Blend with the fluffy brush again. Lastly dip the small brush into your glitter and press it into the yellow section in the corner of your eye, and the in the lower lash line. Brush away any glitter fallout with a large fluffy brush. Finish the look with black mascara, and a plain pink or nude lipgloss.
This look will work whether you plan to wear a mask, or are planning on just going as your beautiful self!
Where are you letting the good times roll tomorrow??
